Spanish Paella !

Hey thirsty gluttons !!! Weather is going bad in France, with cold temperature and a lot of rain..
That's why, this week, we decided to give you a little bit of hotness and sun with a "Paella EspaƱola" !

An authentic seafood and chicken dish that boasts some of Spain's finest ingredients, from calasparra rice to chorizo, through shrimps, pepper, saffron... And to give a little bit more originality to this Paella, we choose to replace chicken with rabbit. It was a very good idea !
This dish is eaten both in summer and winter, and will satisfy all the gluttons that you are !

This meal is very consistent, so it is best to match it with one or two wines. And we did it ! once again,    for you wine lovers, we tasted two wines to drink with a Paella.

First we tasted a Vin de Pays d'Oc, Domaine Les Yeuses 2008, a Syrah "les Epices". A very smooth wine with slightly spicy tannins.

And then, we choose to taste a very knew spanish wine, from the Rioja region, a Campo Viejo 2005, a Crianza. It had an intense ruby red color, with black fruits and vanilla aromas. A very elegant wine.

Both wines were very good and well appropriated to this kind of meal. But we all agree that the Campo Viejo was the best with Paella, we found a good balance between sweetness and delight of the wine and the spicy character of Paella.

That's all for this week, we hope that this day will be sunnier for you after paring these wines and food, see you !
